about
Sound Fascination is 'a journal of musical explorations, improvisations and other adventures', and tracks are posted here as I make them in a kind of rapid-fire, from-the-hip creative process. Learn more about the project at soundfascination.com

I am now closing this first volume of Sound Fascination, and opening sales of the whole album. These should be considered pre-sales of the finished album, which will likely involve some re-mixing, extending, editing and other modifications of these initial 'sketches'.

I'll send the finished product (download) to all customers when it's done, but this will probably take me another couple of months. Doing it this way gives you the opportunity to support the process while getting something up-front for your money - downloads of these initial tracks, which are still pretty cool - as well as a bit of an insider's look at the creative work behind the final product...

I may also decide to do a limited-edition physical package at a higher price-point; if you're interested in this please drop me a line at tobiastinker.com/contact

I'm a Canadian-born, Berlin-based pianist, composer and multi-instrumentalist. I studied jazz piano, electroacoustic ... more composition, musicology and a bunch of other stuff at McGill University in Montreal. Since then I've made my living playing, writing and producing music for film, animation, circus, dance, theatre... and my own and, hopefully, others' enjoyment. It's been a fascinating journey! less
