Some acoustic-based sounds this time, including a Sansula sampled by me. It's a kind of kalimba (thumb piano) mounted on a drum skin stretched on a frame. Also featured: bowed piano strings and some Kanjira, which is a tiny lizard-skin drum from India with a great big sound...

I'm a Canadian-born, Berlin-based pianist, composer and multi-instrumentalist. I studied jazz piano, electroacoustic ... more composition, musicology and a bunch of other stuff at McGill University in Montreal. Since then I've made my living playing, writing and producing music for film, animation, circus, dance, theatre... and my own and, hopefully, others' enjoyment. It's been a fascinating journey! less
