about: The Cathedral Concert is another fully-improvised solo piano concert, this one recorded in Montreal's Christ Church Cathedral. The acoustics of a large and 'live' space (about a 7 second natural reverb) gave a much different atmosphere than the more intimate feel of some of the other concerts. I had just returned from Vancouver, producing and releasing the Broken Saints DVD, and I was in a particularly positive frame of mind, which I think comes across in the music - although as with the other concerts in the series, it is really a complete emotional journey.
