about: Pulwaiya is a whirling, ornamented dance. A baroque melody with a somewhat eastern flavour, played on flute and acoustic guitar, lilts over top of a piano and percussion bed. In the second half, an array of acoustic and synthesized voices builds up over the basic pattern and escalates to a dizzying cacophony before closing with a flourish.

I'm a Canadian-born, Berlin-based pianist, composer and multi-instrumentalist. I studied jazz piano, electroacoustic ... more composition, musicology and a bunch of other stuff at McGill University in Montreal. Since then I've made my living playing, writing and producing music for film, animation, circus, dance, theatre... and my own and, hopefully, others' enjoyment. It's been a fascinating journey! less
